My 2 shots

Okay so I am posting my Saturday (taken on Monday), and my Sunday (taken this morning) pictures for my one weekend, two shots project. Taking care of the plants, something my mom and I love to do. As we prepared for the rainstorm yesterday we hung the plants on the fence to be watered, something we always do before it rains. I thought it'd be a fun and unique shot. I really like the way it turned out too. The second one was from this morning when I noticed one of the flowers had gotten caught in the gate, presumably from the storm. They aren't really the basic-everyday-things-I-love kinda shots, but more like the random-things-I-see-and-love kinda shots. I really like how they turned out.

Great Idea!!

So as I browsed my wonderful, creative friends blogs this morning I noticed several were starting a "journey". And I want to be a part. It is actually an idea from Dedra Long, called one weekend two shots. Basically you just take one picture every Saturday and one every Sunday. I am pretty excited. I was actully just thinking the other day about how I don't really take any random shots anymore, only pictures at events. Maybe this will help me to back into the habit of some just plain that my life kinda pictures I useed to take.

So obviously I missed this weekend, but I am just going to pretend Monday and Tuesday are an extension of my weekend and take my pics now. There are already millions of ideas floating around in my head, but I guess I'll just relax, see what kinda things come up and take pictures as I go. Thanks for the great idea and motivation guys!!! Lisa and Paula. . . great pictures btw!!!! Can't wait to take this "journey" with you! Hope ya don't mind!

Four favorite verses: It was so heard to choose, there are a lot of verses that I love and claim. I tried to pick the ones that I am claiming right now at this time in my life. They include: matthew 5:44 "But I say unto you love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you." gets me through evry single work day! Isaiah 40:31 " But they that wait on the Lordshall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint." Four things I miss while I'm away, the topic for Lisa's cj page, was one that I really had to think about.I thought it would be easy, I mean what do I miss?Simple question really. But I had no idea what to say at first!But after some thought this is what I came up with: My bed adn pillows. I can never quite get comfortable in a hotel or a guest room somewhere. I need my own bed to get a full good nights sleep! There is something I find comforting about falling asleep in my own bed! I fully began to appreciate that after spending several weeks away from home in Europe and Asia!! Same thing goes for my shower/ bathroom. There is some sort of comfort level about being in your own shower, at least for me anyway.I also miss my neighbours when I go away. Most of them happen to be good friends. And finally I miss my homemade apple tea. Even when I make some to take with me, its just not the same as sipping a freshly made glass out back at the picnic table. Mmm!!!

I love summer

Why do I love summer? Immediately I thought because I love the sun and I love being outdoors. But my 3 absolute favorite reasons for loving summer: I love camping, building campfires, making s'mores!! I love eating fresh veggies right out of our garden. Store bought just doesn't taste the same! I long for summer all winter long so I can pick and eat the food from the garden, cucumbers and tomatoes are my favorites!! I also love walking around in my barefeet! I love the feel of the grass under my feet or the sand between my toes! I have never been much of a shoe person at all, so summer is perfect! This was an easy topic for me because I just love everything about summer!!!!
