Finally Finished!!

I finally finished altering my starbucks bottles and I'm pretty excited about how they turned out!
I decided to use them for supplies, so far only the rubberbands bottle is filled. I need to run to Staples and pick up some cute little paperclips and thumbtacks.

A close up of the labels:
Simple top, I just wrapped a ribbon around the lid and placed a flower on the top.

Weekend Shots

Saturday:

Not the most flattering shot, but that was the clearest depiction of my Saturday. It was fall closet cleaning day. Absolutely exhausting! But totally worth it!

Sunday:

My new shelf to hold my teacup collection. I have been looking for awhile to find one that would hold my cups and saucers nicely. This one is the perfect size and even has the grooves in the back to set the saucers in! I was so excited to get it up on the wall!

One Weekend, Two Shots: Sunday

Something I see every Sunday morning at the front of my church. Revelation 1:9 "For the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ."

This project is pretty cool though, I started printing some of my One Weekend pictures and its amazing the stories and memories that are connected with each and every shot!! I can't wait to put them all together into a book. What a cool way to record our "everyday" life!

One Weekend, Two Shots: Saturday

my dad took us to a car show this morning. Now normally I am not really into the cars, but his excitement must have been rubbing off, cause I was loving them. I was really getting into all the detail and the engines! My favorite was a remake of the Knight Rider's Kit. Flashing lights, kit voice and all!! It was pretty cool, the pictures don't do it any justice!

I have a confession. . .

I am here to confess some things that you may not know about me. I think you all need to write your own confessions too… no. I am not a priest. But this could be interesting. Got the idea on a blog I saw, forgive me for forgetting the name!

- I am a born again Christian and love the Lord with all my heart

- I am very girlie! I love pink, and shoes, and shopping, and dressing up, and bows, you get the point.

-I love reality shows--Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother, Bachelor

- I love blog comments, and wish I had more time to leave a comment on all of your blogs!

-I don't like children, used to but recently "grew out of it", i know I'm weird

-I am always early to things, I cannot stand being late even if its only a minute

-I do not like President Obama one bit

-I am a daddy's girl

-I love the smell of coffee brewing, but can't stand the taste of it

-I love to read but dread starting new books

-I buy a new necklace everytime I shop at JC Pennys

-I love to dance in the rain

-I love friends that I can be myself around. No holding back.

Well thats all for now. If you write a confessions post, let me know I am interested in reading them!! :)

Psalms 100

"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord is God!
It is he that made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him, bless his name!
For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures for ever,
and his faithfulness to all generations"

Thankful Tuesday

So I've been doing some blog hopping this weekend looking for some inspiration. I've really only been posting every Saturday and Sunday with my weekend shots. I want to put more into my blog but I feel like I never really have anything to write about. Well I found a couple of motivating topics that I can start with! The first one being a day of Thanksgiving a week. Simple enough, I have plenty of things in my life to be thankful for, why not record them!

My Family

I am super thankful for my family. I love each and every one of them and should actually spend more time being thankful for them instead of complaining when they get on my nerves. They are after all the ones that I can count on NO MATTER WHAT!!! We have always been really close and I am extremely grateful for their constant love and support. I couldn't ask for anything more, except maybe a little brother, but I gave up trying for that a long time ago :) I believe that a person is nothing without their family. My family keeps me ground and pushes me to reach for the stars. They allow me to just be me without any judgment or criticism.

Praise God for my family and Thankful Tuesdays where I can take the time to be grateful for the things He has done in my life!

Sunday

Ahh, fall. I am most definitely a summer girl, but there is just something about fall that gets me. The changing of the leaves, crisp fall air, pumpkins and apples, sweatshirts, football, and for me . . . the return of hot cocoa and hot tea! I am one of those people who cannot drink hot drinks in the summer, I just can't! So with the cooler weather arriving this weekend I pulled out my tea bags and mug and put the tea kettle on. Sweet, sweet fall.

SATURDAY!!

October 2, 2010:

As I wandered thru the house looking for something meaningful to shoot this weekend, I saw this cherub in the dining room. My grandfather made this, it was one of the things I chose after he passed and my grandmother gave his stuff away to the family. He was a very talented man and I love being able to see it hanging on the wall. For some reason it reminds me of the two short years I lived with my grandparents. I used to get up early every morning before school and make pancakes so that when my grandfather got back from his paper route we could have breakfast together. It was a very special time that we both enjoyed very much. He passed away about a year after I moved out so that time is even more precious to me! Well, thanks for letting me ramble down memory lane. Some weekends and some shots seems to do that. Its another thing I love about this project! Thank again to Dedra for inviting us all along on this adventure!!
