Repurposed!

4 Things I repurposed for scrapbooking. What a fun topic, there are so many things in my scraproom I could have chosen, I narrowed it down to some of my favorites. My cassette tape "business" card holder. I just recently had these cards made for family and friends who ask me to make albums for them and needed a place to put them I saw the idea in a magazine and just knew I had to try it. Love the way it turned out! Second is my pen holder. I made it from a wine rack I found at a yard sale paired with some pringle cans to hold the pen! Keeps me super organized. Third, a spice rack to keep my buttons organized, not to mention that it displays them pretty nicely too. And Forth, household items, like soda can tabs for ribbon buckles and bread bag tabs for mini tags. Great topic Courtney! Sorry its a week late I have been super busy and didn't want to throw it together just to have it done on time.

Courtneys tag: I made it from a toilet paper roll I had saved for a mini album. It seemed like the perfect way to use it! Then I topped it with some fabric scraps I had, another soda can tab ribbon buckle, and a piece from some junk mail with all my info. (I borrowed the idea from Courtney's tag, hope you don't mind, I just loved the idea!)

My favorite actors

Matthew Fox, (yes, I am a Jack fan rather than a Sawyer fan! Although I really like them both) Paul Walker, and Matt Marraccini! No real reasons other than I just love them!! Those are my top three favorite actors.

Unusual for me!

Okay so I really struggled with this one. I don't do alot of "unusual" things, so I really had to think hard for this. And I am not even totally convinced that my 4 would be considered unusual, but they are for me! The most unusal thing is definitely my pet spider, Stephen. He was just your average garden wolf spider. I kept him in a terrarium for about 2 years. I know its creepy for most, but I find spiders to be very fascinating creatures to watch and study. Secondly, was the eating of raw octopus while I was in Greece. This is VERY unusual for me since I am a pretty picky eater! I just had to try some of the traditional dishes. Third isn't necessarily unusal for me, but all my friends say it is an unusual thing to do so it made the list, the dissection of over 10 different animals! I've dissected a rat, fetal pig, cat, shark, turtle, bird, lobster, starfish, jellyfish, flounder, frog, just to name some that I actually remember! I was a boi major and I took zoology!! I must say I loved every minute of it. Its amazing the things you learn! Lastly, every time I visit a new state I stop and take a picture in front of the welcome sign. The funny thing is I get embarrassed every time I climb out of the car, "people must think I am crazy!!!" But sure enough as soon as I cross another state line I have to take another picture! So thats my unusual things that I have done! Thanks for an extra challenging topic Serene.

5 things I can't live without

Here is my page for Melissa's 5 things I can't live without. Number one on my list is God. Without Him my life is empty and meaningless. I definitely could not survive without my Saviour. Number 2 is my family, kind of a given. I am very close with them. I do not know what I would do without their love and support and humor to fill each day. Number 3 may be a bit odd, but I don't think I could live without my car. It is my connection to the world. (How else would I get to Micheals for my scrapbook supplies?) Number 4: music. I need music. Whether it be the radio, cd player in my car, my ipod, ect. I have music with me at all times, everywhere I go! I can't even imagine a day without music!! And last be certainly not least, #5, Scrapbooking. What would I do without scrapbooking!?! I don't even want to know. Its what I do for fun, it's how I relax, its how I express myself. . . it's part of who I am! Not to mention all the awesome friends I have made :)
Great topic Melissa! I loved putting it together!

Melissa's sign in

I finished the tag for Melissa's cj. She asked for a tag representing one word to describe ourselves. My word was sunshine. I would like to think that those around me would characterize me as a happy, positive, optimistic type of person. Summed up-- sunshine! Especially during these long snowy winter months! I admit I definitely have my moments, but hey who doesn't?? Overall I am a pretty bubbly easygoing, sunshiney person. (is that even a word??) Hopefully tonight I will have time to post my layout. Happy Monday all!
